Are you making tea the right way?

Are you making tea the right way?

You might question us back with a, "Is there a right way?" And the answer is yes!

Tea has been a part of our daily lives for centuries now, and not to be dramatic, but we almost take it for granted.
To brew a perfect cuppa is an art in itself, and as someone who loves teas, let us help you perfect this art.

STEP 1. CHOOSE YOUR WATER RIGHT.

Okay, so we know the first step is to boil water, but did you know that a good, cold fresh water straight out of your tap to the kettle would make a difference? Fresh cold water has more oxygen dissolved in it, and that's what gets the best flavor out of your tea. So if you re-boil your water or over-boil it, you get to get rid of that dissolved oxygen and never get the desired flavor off the tea.
For black teas, just as the water reaches the boiling point, on goes the water because it needs the heat to get the flavor of the tea.
For green teas, let the kettle cool to avoid the bitterness of the tea.

STEP 2. TEABAGS AND SEEPAGE CONFUSION.

So you put the teabag in the water, see that color diffusing out, and think that you got your tea? Well, the color of the tea is just a color. It has got nothing to do with the taste. So the thirty seconds of the tea bag inside the water is not enough! For the flavors to diffuse, let the tea bag remain for three minutes, at the minimum.

STEP 3. HOW DO I FLAVOR IT?

Well, flavoring depends upon you and your taste. So flavor your teas with lemon or honey, whatever you wish to enjoy the tea.

We hope these suggestions will make you taste tea better and add perfection to your quiet tea times and tea parties.
